Head Coach of Asante Kotoko, Seydou Zerbo walked out of the Post Match interview with StarTimes after his outfit’s draw against Tamale City in Gameweek 12 of the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors were held to a 1-1 draw by Tamale City at the Aliu Mahama Stadium. Asante Kotoko struck first in the 84th minute from an own goal scored by Issah Nyaabila, before Ibrahim Babamu scored two minutes for Tamale City.
While in an interview after the game with broadcasting right holders of the betPawa Premier League, StarTimes, Seydou Zerbo stormed out, with his interpretor attributing that to unhappiness.
Before his shocking departure, Zerbo told StarTimes: “We have drawn three consecutive matches and this is individual mistake from the defence. We are leading let’s say 6 minutes to end of the game and we lost concentration and they had an equalizer.”
The draw meant that Asante Kotoko have drawn their last three Premier League games. However, Coach Seydou Zerbo and his team will have to dump the disappointment and focus on their next game against Bibiani GoldStars at the Dun’s Park on Sunday, January 15, 2023.
