Ghana’s top scorer and current general captain Asamoah Gyan has named his all time Best XI for Black Stars.

Asamoah Gyan in an interview with Pulse Ghana revealed his best Black Stars X1 ever. His team was dominated by players he played with. The only player to fall under Asamoah Gyan’s barometer was Abedi Pele.

Asamoah picked Richard Kingston in goal, John Painstil as right back and Hans Adu Sarpei as left back. He picked John Mensah and Sammy Kuffour in the heart of defense.

In midfield, Gyan picked Essien and Stephen Appiah to shield the defense, with Laryea Kingston and Sulley Muntari on either flank.

In attack, he opted for himself and the legendary Abedi Pele.

There was no room for the likes of CK Akonnor, Tony Yeboah, Kwadwo Asamoah, Andre Ayew etc.

Asamoah Gyan is Ghana’s all time leading top scorer with 51 goals in 109 appearances. He featured for the country at 3 World Cups (2006, 2010, 2014), and he’s Africa’s top scorer at the tournament with 6 goals.
