Ghana legend, Asamoah Gyan has lauded compatriot Daniel Amartey for his patience and mentality after returning to Premier league action for the first time in nearly two years.

Daniel Amartey has been out with an ankle injury for nearly two years, last playing in the league in a 1-1 draw at home to West Ham United on October 27, 2018.

Amartey made a return later last year, but has been on the fringes.

After 23 months, Amartey made his first premier league appearance and impressed as Leicester City wipe the floor with Manchester City by defeating them 5-2.

Reacting to the sublime display, Asamoah Gyan took to Twitter to laud his compatriot for his patience and mentality.

”Patience, Character and positive attitude is an important aspect of this our trade called football… it’s been 2 years…welcome back bro, keep your head, I thank God for your life and career Daniel Amartey,” Gyan posted on Twitter.
