Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an update on Thomas Partey’s injury.
The Ghanaian midfielder was replaced by Spanish international Dani Ceballos at half time in Arsenal’s 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday evening.
Speaking to the media after the game, manager Mikel Arteta provided an update on the midfielder’s situation.
“We don’t know [the extent] of it,” our manager said. “We have to scan him tomorrow or the day after and see what he felt straight away. Let’s wait and see what the magnitude of the injury is.
“I don’t know [if he will go away with Ghana now]. As I said, the doctor will have to have a look at him and probably scan him. Then we will decide what to do with him.”
Ghana will return to action on Thursday, November 12 with a home game against Sudan, before travelling to Khartoum to face the Falcons five days later in the reverse fixture.
The team is now likely to go into the two games without the services of Thomas Partey.
