The Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has thrown out an appeal from Inter Allies in relation to their protest against Home Stars FC for using an unqualified player in the final of the Adonai Estate Volta Division Two middle league on Sunday, June 25.
Inter Allies after the final which they lost 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in a Facebook post revealed that they’ve filed a protest against their opponents for using an unqualified player in the name of Cobby Blay.
The post read: “Inter Allies registers protest against Home Stars player number 23.
“We would like to express our concern regarding the use of an unqualified player, Cobby Blay, by Home Stars during Volta Regional Division Two Middle League Final at the Ho Sports Stadium on Sunday.”
“Cobby Blay is not registered for Home Stars but is a registered player of Evergreen FC with FIFA ID- 1E3L210, born 15/04/2002.”
“That same player is registered with Nkoranza Warriors SC as Cobby Devine Anyormi with FIFA ID-10FC6U2 born 15/04/1995.”
“Also, he is registered with Uncle T. United FC as Justice Divine Kaka, born 15/04/1990 and registered with Accra Athletic FC as Kaka Justice Divine with FIFA ID- 1GD6DB7 born 15/04/1990.”
“We’ve sent the protest to the Volta Regional Football Association and effected the necessary payments..”

Ruling on the case, the Disciplinary Committee threw out the protest, stating that Home Stars did no wrong in registering the player.
Inter Allies were unhappy with the decision of the Disciplinary Committee, hence they sought redress at the Appeals Committee.
The Appeals Committee after sitting on the case has dismissed the appeal, collaborating with the ruling of the Disciplinary Committee, consequently confirming Home Stars’ place in Zone Three of the 2023/24 Access Bank Division One League.
