Newly appointed Head Coach of Great Olympics, Annor Walker has branded the management of Accra Hearts of Oak as ‘unserious”.
Per reports, Annor Walker before returning to Great Olympics held positive talks with the management of Hearts of Oak over the possibility of taking over the vacant managerial job.
The reports further stipulated that the veteran manager swerved the Phobians and signed for their bitterest rival, a report he has downplayed.
“I never had conversations with Hearts of Oak. Nobody called me. People were saying I can’t do the job but I didn’t want to talk. This is the right time for me to speak out”.

He continued, “It was Vincent Odotei who sent me a WhatsApp message requesting for my C.V and I did it. I called him after two weeks to check up but he told me they were having a meeting with the players. I didn’t hear from him again but I asked him later and he said they will get back to me. Up till date… My first conversation with Odotei was on 7th June and I have not heard from him till today.
“There’s no truth about whatever they were saying. I just don’t want to talk. We are all matured and you can’t expose someone. I haven’t written to Hearts that I want a job,” he concluded.
Annor Walker went on the describe Hearts of Oak’s management as unserious over their model of recruiting players while not having a manager.
“You can’t recruit players before appointing a head coach for a new season. They are not serious,” the veteran trainer concluded.
Responding to the comments from Annor Walker, Vincent Odotei Sowah on Oyerepa FM said: “When he (Annor Walker) called me this season that he wants to come to Hearts of Oak, I only responded because of respect and his age. What is the logic in what Annor Walker is doing?
“He called me that he wants to come to Hearts of Oak, I asked him to send me his CV and he kept pestering me every single day. We never engaged him, we never spoke to him about any contract. I have all the chat and if he dares me I will put it into public.”

The Hearts of Oak board member continued, “He was even lucky we picked his call this season based on what he did last season, his conduct, his behavior where he embarrassed not just Hearts of Oak but the people who were lobbying for him.
“Does he know what we are doing that he is saying we want to recruit players before we appoint a coach?
“Does he know the players we are targeting, who recommended them and who is leading the technical evaluation of the players?”, Odotei quizzed.
