André Onana expects “tough guy” Kudus Mohammed to comeback stronger latest setback

Ajax and Cameroonian goalkeeper André Onana is confident tough Kudus Mohammed will return even stronger from his latest injury.

The Ghanaian midfielder suffered a knee injury in the early minutes of Ajax’s opening UEFA Champions League game against English champions Liverpool at the Johan Cruijff Arena earlier this month.

After a scan, Ajax confirmed that Kudus will be out for several months due to an injury to his meniscus in his right knee.

However, Onana believes Kudus will comeback stronger.

“I expect him to come back stronger. He’s a tough guy. I spoke to him and explained that unfortunately injuries are also part of football. He was very positive and promised to do everything he could to make a great return.” He said.

Kudus and Onana have formed a great partnership since Kudus arrived at the club from Nordsjælland for €9m in the summer.
