The Black Stars skipper was instrumental as Swansea Citi defeated newly Promoted championship side Wycombe Wanderers 2-0.
Ayew, who was named Swansea City’s player of the season last season scored the first goal of the game and set Jamal Lowe up for the second.
The 30-year-old’s performance hasn’t gone unnoticed as he earned a place in the Sky Bet Championship Team of the Week.
Ayew has so far featured in 3 games this season for Swansea City, scoring a goal and providing an assist.
