Black Stars skipper Andre Ayew came from the bench to score twice for Al-Sadd as they defeated Ahli Doha 8-2 to lift the 2021/22 Qatar Stars League.

Al-Sadd struck first in the 10th minute through Akram Afif. In the 28th minute, Ahli Doha were reduced to 10 men after a reckless challenge by Hossein Kanaani.
Al-Sadd took advantage of the a-man advantage and scored 4 more goals before the interval. Hassan Al-Haydos, Boualem Khoukhi, Santi Cazorla, and Baghdad Bounedjah the goal scorers.
Andre Ayew was introduced into the game at the start of the second half, coming on for Algerian international Baghdad Bounedjah.
Despite being a man down, Ahli Doha reduced the deficit to 5-2, scoring through Abdulrasheed Umaru and Al-Dokali Al Seyed in the 51st minute and 61st minute respectively.
Ayew made it 6-2 for Al-Sadd in the 62nd minute, finishing off a pass from Akram Afif.

Substitute Yousuf Abdurisag scored in 77th minute to make it 7-2 for Al-Sadd, before Ayew wrapped the game up in additional time with a well taken effort from the edge of the box.

The 8-2 victory means Al-Sadd are winners of the 2021/22 Qatar Stars League with 4 games to spare. Ayew who joined the team in July 2021 on a free transfer after leaving Swansea City contributed to the triumph with 14 goals from 17 games.
The league title becomes his second silverware since joining the club. He won the Emir Cup in October 2021 after beating Al-Rayyan on penalty shootout.
