Posted by Ghana Women’s Premier League winners Ampem Darkoa Ladies commenced their 2022 WAFU Zone B Champions League qualifiers with a 3-0 win against Burkinabe fold Union Sportive des Forces Armées (USFA) at the Yamoussoukro Stadium.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies stamped their authority on the game after just 10 minutes of play, Elizabeth Owusua gave them the lead with a header.
The Ghana Women’s Premier League holders continued to dominate the game and doubled their lead in the 40th minute, a low cross from Constance Serwaa deflected off one of the USFA defenders and into the net.
In the second half, USFA improved their display but that wasn’t enough to stop Ampem Darkoa Ladies from scoring the 3rd and the final goal of the game, Mavis Owusu the goal scorer.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies will return to action on Wednesday, August 24 against Bayelsa Queens of Nigeria at the Yamoussoukro Stadium.
