Accra Hearts of Oak board member Alhaji Briamah Moro popularly known as Alhaji Akambi has been exonerated by an investigative body set up to inquire into a bribery allegations leveled against him.
A section of the club’s supporters had indicted Alhaji Akanbi of taking a sum of GH¢200 from Nkoranza Warriors President, Leslie Kuuku Bartels to aid the transfer of midfielder Emmanuel Sarkodie to the Phobians fold.
He was also accused of demanding a percentage on the transfer of the player should Hearts of Oak eventually sign him, something the Division One club’s boss has since denied.
But the fans maintained their allegation was true and petitioned the Hearts board over the conduct of its member.
A committee headed by Justice Ivy Heward-Mills with Frank Nelson and club Chief Executive Officer Frederick Moore was tasked to investigate the matter.
According to reports from some credible media outlets, the committee after meticulous investigation has exonerated Alhaji Akambi of the bribery allegations leveled against him.
The committee is set to issue a statement in the coming days.
