Sudanese giants Al Hilal Omdurman have confirmed the signing of Ghanaian center-forward, Basit Seidu from betPawa Premier League side Accra Lions.
The 19-year old joins the Sudanese giants on a 5-year deal for an undisclosed fee after successful negotiations and going through mandatory medicals.
“Ghanaian striker Basit Seidu as a player for Al-Hilal for “5” years. Everyone in the crescent welcomes you Sido,” the Sudanese giants announced on their socials.
Basit Seidu arrives at Al Hilal at the back of a successful season with Accra Lions in the betPawa Premier league, where he scored 7 goals and provided 3 assists in 23 appearances.
The youngster attracted attention in April 2023 when he scored four times for Accra Lions in a 4-2 league win against Medeama at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Basit Seidu will team up at Al Hilal with compatriot David Abagna who joined earlier this year from Real Tamale United (RTU).
Meanwhile, Al Hilal have also secured the signing of Khadim Diaw from Horoya, coming in as a replacement for Ibrahim Imoro who terminated his contract with the club few weeks ago.
Al Hilal are bolstering their squad as they set sights on retaining the Sudanese league title and as well making amends in the CAF Champions League after suffering a bad fate last season.
