Accra Lions have announced the signing of thirteen players ahead of the commencement of the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League season.
The Accra-based after maintaining their status in the Premier League last season has set sights on securing a top half finish. In bid to do so, the team has been busy in the transfer market, wrapping up deals for thirteen players.
Top most amongst the signings is Goalkeeper Dennis Votere who joins from the demoted AshantiGold, replacing Frederick Asare who left to join Asante Kotoko following the expiration of his contract.

Defensive midfielder Kingsford Acheampong and winger Solomon Oppong join from partner club Koowa Naso United FC. Malian duo Youssouf Simpara and Samba Bagayoko join from Malian folds Association Sportive de Korofina and Centre Demba Keita respectively.
Defender Samuel Gyimah joins from Attram de Visser SC, Youngster Morris Fuseini from Nima City FC, 17-year-old right-back Kelvin Amanyo from Dzodze Heritage SC, Center-back Elijah Kwarah from Zorkor United.
The rest are Ghana Under-17 international Baba Salifu Apiiga, left-back David Oduro from Desidero FC, Victor Azia from Accra Five Star FC and Ghana Under-20 Goalkeeper Abdul Wahab Abubakar who joins on loan from Shooting Stars FC.
On the other side of transfer activity, the club has sold Rashid Abubakar and Joseph Amoah to Bosnian sides FK Sarajevo and FK Željezničar respectively. Kelvin Kyei joined Malaysian side Selangor FC, while goalkeepers Frederick Asare and Appiah Kubi left on free transfers.

Also, the club has confirmed Turkish sports apparel manufacturing firm Integral Spor as its main sponsor for the 2022/23 season.

Accra Lions will begin the new season with an away game against new boys Kotoku Royals at the Cape Coast Stadium.
