betPawa Premier League side Accra Lions have wrapped up deals for three players ahead of the new season, a report gathered by MahamaShaibu.com indicates.
The three players include; Goalkeeper Daniel Afful, and forwards Yahaya Mohammed and Abdul Shakun Abubakari.
Goalkeeper Daniel Afful signs for Accra Lions on a two-year deal from Right to Dream Academy for an undisclosed fee.
Daniel Afful was part of the team that represented Ghana at the recent WAFU Zone B Boys U-20 Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire, where he was named man of the match in the first game against Niger but was unfortunately sent off in the second game against Burkina Faso.
The young goalkeeper comes in as replacement for Dennis Votere whose contract with the club was recently mutually terminated. Afful will fight for the number one slot with Andrews Owusu, who was first choice last season and Abubakar Wahab.

Yahaya Mohammed also arrives at Accra Lions on a permanent transfer from recently demoted betPawa Premier League side Tamale City, where he has played in the last two seasons.
The forward scored 17 goals and provided 5 assists in 21 games for the Tamale-based club in the 2021/22 Division One League. In the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League season, he scored 4 goals in 21 games for the team.
Yahaya Mohammed is seen as replacement for Basit Seidu who recently departed for Sudanese side Al Hilal Omdurman. The young 18-year old was part of Ghana’s team at the WAFU Zone B Boys U-20 Cup of Nations in Niger.

Accra Lions have also wrapped up a deal for Abdul Shakun Abubakari from Access Bank Division One League side Steadfast FC on permanent basis.
Shakun Abubakari finished last season with 7 goals in 23 league appearances for Steadfast FC.

The trio are expected to add quality and depth
to the Accra Lions team that avoided relegation on the final day of last season.
Meanwhile, Accra Lions will kickstart the 2023/24 league season with an away game against holders Medeama between Friday, September 15 to Monday, September 18, 2023.
