Bosnian fold FK Sarajevo has an announced the capture of midfielder Abdul Rashid Abubakar from betPawa Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions.
The 22-year old signs a 2-year contract with the Bosnian side after undergoing mandatory medicals.
“Abdul Rashid Abubakar, international from Ghana, is the new footballer of FC Sarajevo. His primary position is a central midfielder and he comes to our club from Accra Lions. Abubakar has already joined training and working with the team, and has signed a contract until the end of 2024. years,” Sarajevo announced on its website.

Abdul Rashid played an integral role for Accra Lions in their maiden qualification to the Premier League. He was also fantastic for the team last season as they cemented their stay in the Premier League for another season.
The highly rated midfielder featured in 27 league games, scored a goal, provided 2 assists and won two man of the match awards.
Rashid becomes the fourth player to leave Accra Lions this term after Frederick Asare to Asante Kotoko on a free transfer, Joseph Amoah to FK Željezničar Sarajevo of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kelvin Kyei to Malaysian side Selangor FC.
