2023 U-23 AFCON Qualifiers: Afriyie Barnieh returns, Abass Samari starts, Augustine Randolf benched: Ghana’s lineup vs Algeria

Head Coach of Black Meteors (U-23) Ibrabim Tanko has named his starting eleven for the second leg encounter of the final qualifying round of the CAF U23 Championship against Algeria at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Ibrahim Tanko makes two changes to the team that drew 1-1 against the Northern African nation in Annaba on Friday.

Asante Kotoko shot stopper Ibrahim Danlad retains his place in goal.

David Oppong and Samuel Abbey-Ashie Quaye will occupy the right and left side of defense respectively, while Aaron Essel will once again partner Alex Sarfo Opoku in defense.

In midfield, Emmanuel Essiam and Dominic Nsobila retain their places in the team. The two are joined by betPawa Premier League player of the month for February Abass Samari.

The attack will be led by Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Ernest Nuamah and skipper Daniel Afriyie Barnieh who’s returning from a suspension.
