2023 U-23 AFCON: How Ghana could lineup in “do or die” game against Guinea

Ghana will face host nation Guinea in the final Group A game of the TotalEnergies U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) at the Grand Stade of Tangier on Friday, June 30, 2023.

The Black Meteors who lost their previous game 5-1 to host nation Morocco head into this game needing nothing short of a win to secure a place in the knockout rounds of the tournament.

Head Coach of the Ghana team, Ibrahim Tanko is expected to make slight changes to the team that lost Morocco on Tuesday.

Budding Goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad is expected to retain his place in goal.

Samuel Ashie Quaye is expected to come in at right-back for Aaron Essel, Edmond Arko Mensah maintains his position at left-back, while David Oppong Afrane maintains his position at center-back and Terry Yegbe is replaced by Nathaniel Adjei.

Ibrahim Tanko is expected to make two changes in midfield, Dominic Nsobila retains his position and is expected to be joined by Emmanuel Essiam and Abass Samari Salifu.

The attack is expected to be led by Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Ernest Nuamah.
