Champions of Zone Three of the 2022/23 Access Bank Division One League, Hearts Lions recorded their first win of the ongoing Division One League Super Cup after beating Koforidua Semper FI 2-0.
After a scoreless 45 minutes, Lions opened the scoring just 9 minutes into the second half, Samuel Agbenyegah the scorer.
Heart of Lions continued to control the game and rounded the game off in the 68th minute, Ebenezer Abban scored from the spot-kick to make it 2-0.

In the second Group A game, Nations FC came from two goals down to draw 2-2 against Eleven Wonders.
Eleven Wonders had a fast start to the game and broke the deadlock in the 9th minute through a fine effort from Emmanuel Ayoung. Abass Ganiu made it 2-0, finishing off a sweet move.
Nations FC improved their display at the start of the second half and pulled a goal back in the 59th minute through Ishmael Antwi. In the 79th minute, Prince Arthur scored to make it 2-2.
Both teams pushed for the winner in the remaining minutes of the game but no avail as it ended 2-2.

The competition continues on Wednesday, August 23, Skyy FC will play Young Apostles FC in the first game, before Nzema Kotoko face off with Bofoakwa Tano.
