Newly promoted betPawa Premier League side, Bofoakwa Tano have secured a place in the final of the 2023 and the third edition of the Division One League Super Cup after beating fellow betPawa Premier entrants and hosts, Nations FC 1-0.
The game in 90 minutes failed to produce goals but wasn’t short of excitement, both teams created chances but failed to take the chances that came their way.
The situation continued in extra-time until the 113th minute when Elijah Addai hammered in a free-kick from the edge of the box to score the only goal of the game, securing Bofoakwa Tano a place in the final.
In the second semifinal, Ten-man Skyy FC were 1-0 winners against newly promoted betPawa Premier League side Heart of Lions.
Baba Musah scored the only goal of the game in the 43rd minute when he kept his composure to calmly slot in a penalty.
At the start of the second half, Skyy were reduced to 10 players but stayed resolute in defense to beat the Premier League returnees, in the process securing a place in the final.
The two losers Nations FC and Heart of Lions will clash at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Friday, September 1 for the 3rd spot. The final between Bofoakwa Tano and Skyy will also take place on the same day at the same venue.
