Ghana will head into the game hoping to secure the double over the Central Africa nation after beating them 1-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday. Howbeit, they’ll have to do so without the services some key men.
Skipper Andre Ayew, right-back Dennis Odoi and center-backs, Mohammed Salisu and Alexander Djiku have all been ruled out of the game due to various injuries.
With the team short especially in defense, Chris Hughton has handed a late call up to Amiens defender Nicholas Opoku to provide competition for Joseph Aidoo and Daniel Amartey who are the only recognized central defenders in the team.
Chris Hughton is expected to make few changes to the team that won 1-0 in Kumasi on Thursday.
Goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi is expected to maintain his place in the post.
Kingsley Schindler is expected to earn his debut, starting at right back. The Koln defender is expected to be joined in defense by Daniel Amartey, Joseph Aidoo and Gideon Mensah.
In midfield, Salis Abdul Samed and Thomas Partey are expected to sit in front of the defense, while Mohammed Kudus plays slightly ahead of the two.
The attack is expected to be led by Jordan Ayew, Kamaldeen Sulemana and Antoine Semenyo who came from the bench to score on Thursday.
