2023 AFCON Qualifiers: Ghana to open camp today for Angola double header

The Black Stars will open camp Today, March 20, 2023 in Accra for the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola.

Ghana as part of the qualifiers for the 2023 AFCON to be played Ivory Coast is billed to play Angola in a double header.

Twenty five (25) players have been invited for the game by the newly appointed technical team headed by former Newcastle United boss, Chris Hughton.

All the 25 players are expected to honor the call-up, with a number of them expected to report to camp in Accra by the close of today.

The team is expected to hold its first training today at the Accra Sports Stadium as preparations get underway for the AFCON qualifiers against Angola.

Ghana will first play Angola at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Thursday, March 23 before travelling to Luanda on March 27, 2023 for the reverse fixture.

The Black Stars are joint top of the Group E table with 4 points from two games following a 3-0 win over Madagascar and a 1-1 draw with Central African Republic in June last year.
