Head Coach of the Angola National team, Pedro Goncalves has announced a 26-man squad list for this month’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Ghana.
The squad which was announced by Pedro Goncalves at a press conference held at the Angola Football Federation headquarters in Luanda on Tuesday consist of three goalkeepers, seven defenders, seven midfielders and nine attackers.
In the squad are the likes of Jonathan Buatu of Valenciennes, M’bala Nzola of Spezia Calcio, Jacinto Gelson Dala of Al-Wakrah, KAA Gent’s Nuriu Fortuna, Helder Costa of Al-Ittihad and so on.
Angola will play Ghana in a double header this month in search of a ticket to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations slated for Cote D’Ivoire in January next year.
The Palancras Negras will first play the Black Stars at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Thursday, March 23 before hosting them in reverse fixture in Luanda on March 27, 2023.
Angola are joint top of the Group E table with 4 points from two games following a 2-1 comeback win Central African Republic and a 1-1 draw against Madagascar in June last year.
