The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has issued a statement on the Black Stars after a scare of a fire outbreak in the team’s camp in Doha

Per the statement, the entire team was made to evacuate their hotel in Doha after the emergency alarm went off. However, the place was marked safe and the team was allowed to re-occupy the hotel after 45 minutes of check by the Qatar Fire Service crew.

The statement read: “Just after 1430 Oatar time, on Sunday, November 20th, the emergency alarm at the Ghana team hotel in Doha went off, prompting all occupants to self-evacuate.

“The Oatar Fire Service crew arrived shortly after to attend to the emergency alarm.”

“It was marked safe after approximately 45 minutes of checks and all occupants were able to re-occupy their hotel rooms,” the statement ended.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars held their first regular training session in Doha since arriving on Friday. The team is preparing for the Group H games against Portugal on Thursday, November 24, South Korea on Monday, November 28 and Uruguay on Friday, December 2.
