Posted by Tema Youth surrendered a 2-goal lead to draw 2-2 against Young Apostles in their second group game of the 2022 Division One League Super Cup.
The first half of the game lacked chances and saw no goals. Tema Youth returned from the break with added impetus and went ahead through David Gyamfi after he was set up by Emmanuel Mamah.
The Tema-based side extended their lead through a wonderful goal from Emmanuel Mamah, he scored directly from a corner kick.
Young Apostles fought back and cancelled both goals through a penalty and an own goal scored by Samuel Mensah.
In the second game of Group B, Premier League new boys Tamale City defeated fellow Premier League newbies Samartex 1996 1-0. Isaac Mensah scored the only goal of the game in the 21st minute.
In Group A yesterday, Liberty Professionals and Ebusua Dwarfs played out a scoreless draw. Nsoatreman as well defeated Kotoku Royals 1-0. Abass Mohammed scored the only goal of the game in the 48th minute.
The competition returns on Sunday in Group A, Ebusua Dwarfs face Nsoatreman and Kotoku Royals battle Liberty Professionals.
In the final games of Group B on Monday, Young Apostles face Tamale City and Tema Youth square with Samartex.
