Africa’s football governing body, Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed the dates, venues and kickoff times for all playoffs of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
In March, ten countries will lock horns in the final qualifying round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, with the winners securing a place at the World Cup which will be played in Qatar later this year.
West African powerhouses, Ghana and Nigeria will renew their rivalry for one of the places. The first leg of what promises to be an exciting tie will take place at the Cape Coast Stadium in Ghana on Thursday, March 24, 2022 and will kick off at 19:00 GMT.
The second leg will take place at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Sunday, March 27, 2022 and will kickoff at 16:00 GMT.
Finalists in the 2021 African Cup of Nations (AFCON), Egypt and Senegal will lock horns. The first leg will take place on Friday, March 25 at the Cairo Stadium and the second leg at the Diamniadio Olympic Stadium on Monday, March 29.
Cameroon will battle with Algeria. The first is slated for March 29 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium and the second leg at the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium on March 29.
DR Congo will also face Morocco, with the first leg scheduled for March 26 in Kinshasa and the second leg on March 29 in Casablanca.
The final game will see Mali host Tunisia in the first leg in Yirimadio on March 24 and the second leg in Rades on March 27.
The winners of the ties will earn a place at the
2022 World Cup to be played in Qatar between
21 November to 18 December.
