Nsoatreman defeated Real Tamale United (RTU) 1-0 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium to secure a place in the semifinal of the 2022/23 MTN FA Cup.

Buoyed by the home support, RTU dominated most parts of the first 45 minutes but it was Nsoatreman who went into the break a goal up. Philip Ofori scored from a corner-kick in the final minutes of the half to silent the boisterous Tamale crowd.

Knowing what’s at stake, RTU in the second 45 minutes pushed bodies forward for the equalizer but Goalkeeper Daniel Afadzwu and his defense were at their best to keep the scoreline at 1-0 and in the process secure a historic semifinal place.

Nsoatreman will now face the winner of the game between King Faisal and Aduana in the semifinal to be played at a neutral crowd later this month.

Meanwhile, Dreams FC have also secure a place in the semifinal after beating Legon Cities 1-0 in Dawu. The Still Believe side is scheduled to face the winner of the game between Skyy and Ebusua Dwarfs in the semifinal.
