2022/23 MTN FA CUP: Dreams bundle out Hearts of Oak; RTU, King Faisal, Samartex all progress: Round of 32 Results

The Round of 32 games of the 2022/23 MTN FA Cup was played over the weekend. The games presented us with some exciting and upsetting results across the various match centers.

Holders Accra Hearts of Oak were knocked out by Dreams FC. Dreams won the game 1-0 courtesy an early goal scored by Agyenim Boateng Mensah.

The game had a frenzy and chaotic finish. Hearts of Oak missed two penalties in the dying minutes of the game. Benjamin Yorke took and missed the first kick, but the Phobians were awarded a chance to retake the kick after the referee spotted the keeper move off his line.

Dreams threatened to walk off the field but continued the game after peaceful conversations. Hearts of Oak missed the penalty once again, this time Samuel Inkoom the villain.

In other results, King Faisal thrashed Bibiani GoldStars 4-1 to progress to the Round of 16. Benson Kofi Yeboah and Abdul Razak Abdullah scored to earn Heart of Lions a 2-0 win against MSK Zilina.

Issah Kuka scored a brace for Real Tamale United (RTU) in their 4-1 win against Wa Suntaa. Liberty Professionals kicked out Rences on penalties after a scoreless game and so on.
