Asante Kotoko recorded an impressive 2-1 win against Samartex at the Nsenkire Sports Arena in Samreboi.
The Porcupine Warriors after making series of dangerous attacks in the opening minutes struck first in the 19th minute through Enoch Morrison.
In the 28th minute, Asante Kotoko made it 2-0 through Rocky Dwamena. The goal came seconds after goalkeeper Frederick Asare pulled off two good saves to preserve Asante Kotoko’s 1-0 lead.
Samartex from then created the best chances of the game but were kept at bay by a combination of good defending and good goalkeeping from Frederick Asare.
In the 90th minute, Ebenzer Acquah scored for Samartex to give the game a nervy finish but Asante Kotoko held on to win 2-1.

At the Tamale Stadium, Tamale City defeated Dreams FC 3-1 to move out of the relegation zone momentarily.
Tamale City raced into a 2-goal lead after just 7 minutes into the game, Nafiu Sulemana and Sampson Eduku the scorers.
Sampson Eduku grabbed his brace and made it 3-0 in the 68th minute, before Ali Huzaif scored the face saving goal for Dreams in the final minute of the game from a spot-kick.
The games will Contine tomorrow, Hearts of Oak will welcome Kotoku Royals at the Accra Sports Stadium, Real Tamale United will play Berekum Chelsea in Tamale and so on.
