Kumasi King Faisal and Accra Hearts of Oak played out an entertaining scoreless draw under the floodlights of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The game had a fast start, both sides in the opening 5 minutes came close to scoring. Goalkeeper Asiedu Benjamin pulled off a good save to deny Isaac Mensah from giving Hearts the lead and Baba Yahaya saw his ferocious effort from the edge of the box hit the post.
In the 34th minute, king Faisal nearly gifted Hearts of Oak the lead, Issac Mensah pounced on an error by Joseph Gordon but his final effort went straight into the waiting arms of Asiedu Benjamin.
The opening 20 minutes of the second half was cagey but lacked quality. Both teams failed to keep hold of the ball for long and were indecisive in the final 3rd.
The final 25 minutes of the game came to live, Linga Mtange came from the bench to bring energy into the Hearts of Oak attack, while man of the match Baba Yahaya was a constant threat to the Hearts of Oak defense.
Despite the flurry of chances that fell to the two teams in the latter part of the game, the game ended without goals.
In Tamale, Real Tamale United (RTU) defeated Accra Lions 3-1 to record their fourth consecutive home win.
The home side struck first in the 20th minute through Issah Kuka. In the 33rd minute, Abass Samari made it 1-1, calming slotting the ball home in a one on one situation.
Hafiz Abdulai scored the 2nd goal for RTU in the dying embers of the first half, before Mohammed Sadat cemented the win with a well taken penalty in the 58th minute.

At the Accra Sports Stadium, Great Olympics scored two late goals to draw 2-2 against Bibiani Gold Stars.
Richmond Opoku and Ebenezer Aboagye scored for Gold Stars in the 27th and 61st minute respectively, before Emmanuel Antwi and Aryeetey Ayikwei scored in the final 5 minutes to earn Olympics a draw.

Emmanuel Gyamfi and Steven Anonkye Badu scored in the first half to earn Aduana FC a 2-0 win against Kotoku Royals at the Nana Agyemang Badu park. The win keeps Aduana top of the table.
On Wednesday, Champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko recorded a 3rd consecutive draw as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Tamale City at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.
The Porcupine Warriors scored the opening goal of the game in the 84th minute, Issah Nyaabila unfortunately directed a crossing from Steven Mukwala into his own net.
The lead didn’t last long as the home side pulled parity two minutes later, substitute Babamu Ibrabim scored to steal a late point for Tamale City, 1-1.

At the Akoon Park in Tarkwa, Medeama dumped their 4-0 defeat to Dreams FC to beat Nsoatreman 2-0. Kwasi Donsu and Joshua Agyemang scored the goals in either half.
Mezack Afriyie’s late goal earned Berekum Chelsea a 1-0 win against Karela United at the Berekum Golden City Park.
In Accra, Legon Cities and Dreams FC played out a pulsating scoreless draw. Both goalkeepers were kept busy throughout the game.

A 83rd minute Seidu Abubakar goal earned Samartex a 1-0 home win against Bechem United.
