The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the best performing players in each position for the opening game of the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League.
The list was compiled and presented by former Black Stars goalkeeper Abubakari Damba.
Abubakari Damba in the team of the week opted for a 4-3-3 formation and selected Dreams FC’s Ignatius Osei-Fosu has his Coach of the week.
In post for the team is Samartex goalkeeper Richard Boadu who saved a penalty and kept a clean sheet in a scoreless draw against Real Tamale United (RTU).
The right back and the left back positions are occupied by Godfred Poku Wakii and Abdul Bashiru of Aduana FC and Great Olympics respectively. Solomon Adomako of Olympics and Kofi Asmah of Medeama occupy the center-back positions.
The three-man midfield is occupied by Ofori McCarthy of Dreams, Latif Anabila of Bechem United and Berekum Chelsea’s Awuah Dramani.
In attack is Augustine Boakye who scored Kotoku Royals maiden Premier League goal, Bright Adjei of Aduana and Samuel Atta Kumi of Karela United.
