After a month break due to the 2022 World Cup which took place in Qatar and was won by Argentina, the 2022/23 betPawa Premier league resumed, with gameweek 9 fixtures taking place across the various match centers.
After the gameweek which produced some exciting results, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced its team of the week.
The list was compiled and presented by former Black Stars goalkeeper Abubakari Damba.
Abubakari Damba in the team of the week opted for a 3-4-1-2 formation and selected Slavko Matic who led Hearts of Oak to beat Nsoatreman 1-0 at the Nana Kronmansah park.
In post for the team is Joseph Addo who made a number of good saves and was named man of the match in Aduana’s 1-0 away win against Great Olympics in Sogakope.
Skipper for Dreams FC Abdul Jalilu who scored in the 2-0 win against King Faisal is picked in defense alongside Abdul-Rahman Yaya and Samuel Amofa of Bibiani Gold Stars.
The midfield is occupied by Hearts of Oak talisman Salifu Ibrahim, Michel Otou of Legon Cities, Samuel Baah Nuako of Tamale City and Richmond Lamptey of Asante Kotoko.
The attack is led by Kwadwo Obeng Jnr who scored Hearts of Oak’s only goal against Nsoatreman and Steven Mukwala who scored the winner for Asante Kotoko in the 2-1 win against Berekum Chelsea.
