2022/23 GPL: GFA announce winners of the Player, Coach and the Goalkeeper of the Month award for April

Bechem United forward Hafiz Konkoni has been named 2022/23 betPawa Premier League NASCO Player of the Month for April.

The current top scorer of the betPawa Premier League beat off competition from Sampson Eduku (Tamale City), Issah Kuka (RTU), Bassit Siedu (Accra Lions), Steven Mukwala (Asante Kotoko) and Kalo Ouattara (Berekum Chelsea).

Hafiz Konkoni in the month under review played five games, scored four and won a man of the match award.

Aduana FC Head Coach Kwesi Fabin also scooped the NASCO Coach of the Month for April, winning the award for the second time this season after winning the February edition.

Kwesi Fabin beat off competition from Karela FC’s Ibrahim Tanko Shaibu, Berekum Chelsea’s Christopher Ennin and Maxwell Konadu of Legon Cities.

Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin led the league leaders in five games. He won three games, drew one and lost one, scoring six goals in the run and conceding three.

Legon Cities shot-stopper William Essu has emerged as Goalkeeper of the Month for April, beating competition from Aduana FC’s Joseph Addo, Benjamin Asiedu Kwesi of King Faisal FC, Frederick Asare of Asante Kotoko SC and Dari Aziz Haruna of Bechem United FC.

The former Ghana U20 goalkeeper made three appearances in the month under review and kept a clean sheet in all three matches.

For winning the NASCO Player and Coach of the month award, Hafiz Konkoni and Paa Kwesi Fabin will receive a 43-inches television set from Electroland Ghana limited, while William Essu will receive a goalkeepers glove and a jersey from the National Goalkeepers Union.
