2022/23 GPL: GFA announce nominees for NASCO player, coach and goalkeeper of the month award for May/June

Four players have been shortlisted for the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League NASCO Player of the Month Award for May/June, 2023.

The nominees include golden boot winner Abednego Tetteh, Samuel Ofori of Nsoatreman FC, Medeama SC’s Jonathan Sowah and Ali Huzaif of Dreams FC.

Abednego Tetteh in the month under review made 5 appearances for Bibiani GoldStars, scored 7 goals and won 2 NASCO man of the match awards. Samuel Ofori also featured in 5 games for Nsoatreman, scored 6 goals and won a NASCO man of the match award.

Jonathan Sowah scored 5 goals in 4 games with 2 NASCO player of the match awards for Medeama SC with Ali Huzaf scoring 3 in 4 games for Dreams FC with 2 NASCO player of the match awards.

Augustine Evans Adotey of Medeama SC, Bismark Kobi Mensah of Great Olympics and Abdul Karim Zito of Dreams FC were nominated for the coach of the month award for May/June.

All the nominated managers led their teams in 5 games. Augustine Evans Adotey won 4 and drew 1, in the process leading Medeama to their maiden Premier League title.

Bismark Kobi Mensah won three games, drew one and lost one. Abdul Karim Zito on the other hand won three games and drew two.

Champions, Medeama SC’ goalkeeper Felix Kyei, Solomon Agbasi of Dreams FC, Benjamain Asare of Great Olympics and Abdul Ganiu Mohammed of Karela United were selected for the goalkeeper of the month award for May/June, 2023.

The winners of the respective awards will be announced by the Ghana FA in the coming days.

The winner of the Player and the Coach of the month award will receive a 43-inch NASCO television set from Electroland Ghana Limited, while the Goalkeeper of the month will receive a goalkeepers glove and a jersey from the National Goalkeepers Union.
