2022/23 GPL: Four players and three coaches nominated for NASCO player and coach of the month award for February

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has shortlisted four players for the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League NASCO Player of the Month award for the month of February.

The nominees include Francis Andy Kumi of Kotoku Royals, Hafiz Konkoni of Bechem United, Accra Lions youngster Abass Samari Salifu and Asante Kotoko’s Steven Mukwala Desse,

Francis Andy Kumi in the month under review made 4 appearances for Kotoku Royals, scored 3 goals and won a man of the match award. Hafiz Konkoni made 4 appearances for Bechem United, won a man of the match award and scored 5 goals, including a hattrick against Real Tamale United (RTU).

Abass Samari Salifu on the other hand featured in 4 games, scored 4 goals and won 3 man of the match awards, while Steven Mukwala made 4 appearances, scored 2 goals and won a man of the match award.

For the Coach of the month award, league leaders Aduana’s Paa Kwasi Fabin, Umar Abdul Rabi of Medeama and Abdul Karim Zito of Dreams FC were selected.

All three coaches led their respective teams in 4 games in the month of February. Paa Kwasi Fabin and Umar Abdul Rabi led their teams to 3 wins and a draw, while Karim Zito led his team to 2 wins, a draw and a defeat.

The eventual winners of the Player and Coach of the month award will be announced live on the next edition of the GFA News Bulletin on Friday, March 3, 2023.

Both will receive a 43-inch NASCO television set from Electroland Ghana Limited.
