The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced its best performing players in each position for Gameweek 22 of the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League.
The list which was compiled by former Black Stars Goalkeeper Abukari Damba was largely dominated by Asante Kotoko who were 2-1 winners against Samartex at the Nsenkire Sports Arena in Samreboi, ending a run of 8 away games without a win.
Asante Kotoko’s Orlando Wellington who’s standing in for the bereaved Seydou Zerbo was named coach of the week, while Fredrick Asare was named the best goalkeeper of the week.
The defense for the team of the week is made up of Emmanuel Kotei of Nsoatreman, Joseph Adu Dwomoh of King Faisal, Hearts of Oak’s Caleb Amankwah and Nicholas Osei Bonsu of Asante Kotoko.
The midfield is occupied by Michel Otou of Legon Cities, Abdul Karim of Bechem United and Asante Kotoko duo, Enoch Morrison and Richmond Lamptey.
The attack is led by Tamale City’s Sampson Eduku and Jonathan Sowah of Medeama.
