Bechem United defeated Asante Kotoko 2-0 in the outstanding gameweek two Premier League fixture.

The game was initially scheduled for Sunday, September 18 but was postponed twice due to Asante Kotoko’s involvement in the 2022/23 CAF Champions League and the injunction placed on the league by AshantiGold.
Both teams came into the game at the back of victories. Bechem United won their previous game 1-0 against Kotoku Royals, while Asante Kotoko defeated rivals King Faisal 3-0.
The Hunters who were playing at home and were cheered by their boisterous fans opened the scoring in the 24th minute, skipper Kofi Agbesimah put his side in the lead from a spot-kick.
Bechem United doubled their lead in the 64th minute, talented youngster Clinton Duodo set up Emmanuel Avornyo to tap home from close range.
The remaining minutes of the game saw no goals but Asante Kotoko finished the game with 10 men, Stephen Amankona was sent off after picking a second yellow.
