2022/23 GPL: Asante Kotoko show Kotoku Royals no royal treatment; Accra Lions hold Aduana; Olympics, RTU and Samartex pick wins: Gameweek 14 Results and Standings

Kumasi Asante Kotoko recorded a 5-1 victory against strugglers Kotoku Royals to move into second place on the betPawa Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors raced into a 2-0 lead by the 23rd minute. Richmond Lamptey scored with a nice curler in the 13th minute, before Steven Mukwala extended the lead ten minutes later from a spot-kick.

In the 29th minute, erstwhile Asante Kotoko player Francis Andy Kumi pulled a goal back for Kotoku Royals with a lovely finish.

Steven Mukwala scored again in the 61st minute to make it 3-1, before he set up Eric Zeze in the 83rd minute to make it 4-1.

In additional time, substitute Solomon Sarfo-Taylor scored from close range to round up the win, 5-1.

A 15th minute Prince Kwadwo Afrifa goal earned Great Olympics a 1-0 win against Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Stephen Dankwa Badu and Abdul Manaf Umar scored in either half to earn Real Tamale United (RTU) a 2-0 home win against Nsoatreman.

Bechem United recorded a 1-0 home win against Dreams FC. Kusi Pandrous scored the only goal of the game in the first half.

Samartex recorded their fourth win of the season with a 1-0 win against King Faisal. Raymond kwoffie scored the only goal in the 13th minute. Emmanuel Keyekeh could have doubled the lead from a spot-kick but he failed to beat the goalkeeper.

In Dormaa, Aduana FC and Accra Lions drew 1-1. Lions scored first in the 43rd minute through Abass Samari Salifu, before Solomon Aboagye pulled parity for Aduana in the 69th minute.

A first half goal scored by Kwadwo Obeng Jnr earned Hearts of Oak a historic 1-0 win against Medeama at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa. The win is the Phobians first win at the ground since 2016.

At the Aliu Mahama Stadium, Bibiani GoldStars came from behind twice to beat Tamale City 3-2. Sampson Eduku scored twice for Tamale City, while Abednego Tetteh as well scored twice for GoldStars and Emmanuel Appau scored at the other goal.

Bechem United came from a goal down to beat Legon Cities 3-1 in Accra. Alex Aso gave Legon Cities the lead, before Emmanuel Avornyo, Clinton Doudu and Hafiz Konkoni scored for Bechem United.
