Kumasi Asante Kotoko defeated new boys Nsoatreman 2-1 in the outstanding gameweek one betPawa Premier League fixture.
The game was initially scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 11 but was postponed due to Asante Kotoko’s involvement in the 2022/23 CAF Champions League.
Asante Kotoko after missing a good chance to take the lead in the opening minutes through Steven Mukwala broke the 15th minute through a spot-kick converted by Stephen Amankona.

The Porcupine Warriors in the remaining minutes of the first half continued to dominate the game and were presented with chances through Steven Mukwala and Stephen Amankona but failed to take the chances.
At the start of the second half, Asante Kotoko doubled their through Isaac Oppong. The youngster combined well with Steven Mukwala before hammering the ball pass the goalkeeper.

In the 51st minute, Nsoatreman pulled a goal back. Phillip Owusu leapt high to head in a corner-kick from Baba Mahama.

Both sides in the remaining minutes of the game pushed bodies forward for the winning goal but to no avail as it ended 2-1 for Asante Kotoko.
