Accra Lions headed into the game with the hopes of ending a 3-game losing run. They were on course to doing so after 28 minutes of play, a free-kick from Salifu Apiiga deflected off Kelvin Obeng and went pass the goalkeeper Joseph Addo.
The home side doubled their lead in the 75th minute. Evans Botchway collected a delicious pass from Solomon Oppong and calmly beat the goalkeeper.
In the 81st minute, Accra Lions scored the third goal to put the game to bed. Seidu Bassit headed in a sweet cross from Salifu Apiiga.
At the Nana Fosu Gyeabor Park, Bechem United defeated Bechem United 1-0 to go a point behind Aduana FC at the top of the table. Emmanuel Avornyo scored the only goal of the game in the first half.
The games will continue on Sunday, Hearts of Oak will host Medeama in another title decider, Dreams will host Berekum Chelsea in Dawu, King Faisal host Samartex and so on.
On Monday, Asante Kotoko will play already relegated Kotoku Royals at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.
