Posted by Still Believe drew 2-2 against Banana Inn to top Group A of the 2022/23 Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) Division Two Middle League and in the process secure a place in the final.
Still Believe went ahead in the 22nd minute through a spot-kick converted by Abdul Aziz Musibau. Banana Inn pulled parity in the 35th minute, Emmanuel Cudjoe pounced on an error by Goalkeeper Kelvin Sarbah to score.
Five minutes later, Charles Bartels scored from a free-kick to make it 2-1 for Still Believe. In the 69th minute, Banana Inn pulled parity after Kelvin Sarbah deflected a cross from Chris Mensah to make it 2-2.
The result means Still Believe top Group A with 4 points, in the process securing a place in the final of the middle league.
In the final game of Group B, Desidero defeated Accra Athletic 2-0 to top the group and secure a place in the final. Kingsford Aikens scored both goals in the first half.
The result ensured that Desidero top the group with 6 points. Accra Athletic finished with 3 points and Auroras finished bottom without a point.
Still Believe and Desidero will now face off in the final on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at the Accra Sports Stadium at 3:00pm. The winner will secure a ticket to play in the 2023/24 Division One League.
