The second group games of the 2022/23 Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) Division Two Middle League went on on Wednesday, June 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The first game in Group A saw Danbort dump their disappointing 3-1 defeat to Still Believe in the first game to beat Banana Inn 2-1.

Danbort after soaking early pressure from Banana Inn went ahead in the 31st minute through a fine finish from Christian Henry Kumi.

The lead didn’t last long as Emmanuel Abbey scored four minutes later from close range to make it 1-1.

The game looked like it was ending in a draw but Daniel Korsah stole the headlines when he scored in the 83rd minute to put Danbort ahead and secure them a 2-1 win.

In Group A, Desidero’s scored two late goals to beat Hearts of Oak’s feeder side Auroras 3-2.

Just like it was in the first game, Auroras found themselves a goal down after 10 minutes of play, Vincent Clinton Otou scored for Desidero from a spot-kick.

Auroras leveled the score in the 64th minute through a spot-kick converted by Michael Adjetey, before going ahead in the 82nd minute through Hamza Issah, 2-1.

Desidero after going down fought back and leveled the score in the 86th minute through skipper Charles Amole. Few minutes later, Desidero’s grabbed the winner from an own goal, 3-2.

The 3-2 win puts Desidero in position to qualify to the final, while Auroras bow out of the middle league without picking a point.
