2022/23: Dreams beat Great Olympics to confirm Premier League stay; King Faisal stun Legon Cities to blow relegation race wide

Dreams FC scored late to beat Great Olympics 2-1 and in the process cement their status in the betPawa Premier League for another season.

The first 45 minutes of the game produced no goals. Both teams had chances to score but Dreams FC had the better chances, Goalkeeper Benjamin Asare made two good saves to deny Sylvester Simba.

Just seven minutes into the second half, Dreams opened the scoring, substitute Godfred Atuahene scored with his first touch.

Great Olympics after going down improved their display and missed some good chances, before restoring parity in the 75th minute, Solomon Adomako leapt high to head in a crossing from Christopher Netty.

In the 83rd minute, Dreams FC regained the lead, Ali Huzaif sneaked behind the Great Olympic defense to head in a corner-kick.

Great Olympics in the remaining minutes of the game pushed for the equalizer but Dreams held on to win 2-1.

At the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, King Faisal defeated Legon Cities 3-1 to end a run of 6 games without a win and as well increased their chances of survival.

King Faisal dominated the opening minutes of the game broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute, Abdul Latif scored from a spot-kick.

In 68th minute, Abdul Latif scored to grab his brace and his team’s second, firing in a shot from outside the box.

Ebenezer Armegah scored in the 76th minute to reduce the deficit and give Olympics hopes of a comeback but the hopes were dumped 5 minutes later, Baba Yahaya scored to round up the win for King Faisal, 3-1.
