Gameweek 17 of the 2022/23 Access Division One League presented us with some exciting and shocking results across the various match centers.
In Zone One A, first placed Eleven Wonders drew 1-1 with second placed Steadfast at the Ohene Ameyaw Park. Maana FC were 2-0 away winners against Debibi United. In the Wa derby, Wa Yassin defeated Wa Suntaa 2-1. The game between Kumbungu Binbiem and Kassena Nan-Kana produced 4 goals, ending 2-2.
In Zone One B, Young Apostles and bottom placed Mighty Royals drew scoreless. Baffour Academy thrashed Berekum Arsenal 4-0. B.A United were 1-0 winners at home to Unity FC. On Tuesday, Nkoranza Warriors will play Bofoakwa Tano.
In Zone Two, Baba Musah Hamadu’s first half goal earned Skyy a 1-0 win against New Edubiase. Kenpong Academy were held at home by Asokwa Deportivo, 1-1. Gariba Abubakari scored twice to propel Nations FC to a 2-1 win against Ebusua Dwarfs. Future Stars won 1-0 at home against Soccer Intellectuals.
At the CAM Park, Nzema Kotoko beat Holy Stars 1-0. Sefwi All Stars and Swedru All Blacks drew 0-0. In Elmina, Elmina Sharks and Pacific Heroes drew 1-1, Asekem and WAFA as well drew 1-1.
In Zone Three, Heart of Lions defeated Tema Youth 1-0 in Tema to extend their lead at the top to 11 points. Attram De Visser and Akatsi All Stars shared the spoils, 2-2. Dawud Tahir Banks scored the only goal of the game to earn Mighty Jets a 1-0 win against Nania FC. At the Fred Crenstil Park, Uncle T edged Liberty Professionals, 1-0.
It rained goals at the Akosombo Akotex Park as Krystal Palace defeated A5 Rences 4-2. Yakubu Sayibu’s header was enough to earn Vision a 1-0 win against Koforidua Semper. In Ho, Volta Rangers defeated Na God 1-0. Golden Kick as well won 1-0 at home against Susubiribi.
