2022/23 Division One League: Lions and Nations continue fine start; Bofoakwa and Liberty pick up away wins: Gameweek Eight Results

The eighth (8) and the final round of the 2022/23 Access Division One League ahead of the start of the Qatar 2022 World Cup brought us enthralling results across the various zones and match centers.

In Zone One A, Eleven Wonders and Debibi United played out a pulsating scoreless draw at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman. Iddrisu Salifu Nba Naa’s first half strike earned Wa Suntaa a 1-0 win against Steadfast. On Sunday, Kassena Nankana will host Wa Yassin Jnr, while Kumbung Binbiem play Maana FC on Monday at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

In Zone One B, Nkoranza Warriors recorded a 2-1 home win against B.A United. At the Sunyani Coronation park, Young Apostles defeated Unity FC 3-1. Leslie Aryeetey scored the only goal of the game for Bofoakwa Tano in a 1-0 win against Baffour Academy. Mighty Royals condemned B.A United to their 7th defeat of the season, beating them 1-0.

In Zone Two, Derrick Otabil, Ebenezer Offei and Joseph Afful were on target for Soccer Intellectuals in a 3-0 home win against WAFA. Nations FC defeated Asekem 3-1 to stay top of the table. Skyy FC scored in either half to beat Elmina Sharks 2-0. Asokwa Deportivo and Pacific Heroes played 0-0.

At the Bibiani Dun’s Park, Sefwi All Stars and Future Stars played 0-0. In Obuasi, New Edubiase recorded a 2-0 win against Kenpong Academy. Swedru All Blacks did light work on Nzema Kotoko, beating them 2-0. On Sunday, Ebusua Dwarfs will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they host Basake Holy Stars.

In Zone Three, a fourth minute Samuel Okine goal propelled Heart of Lions to a 1-0 win against Krystal Palace Academy in Kpando. Attram De Visser came from a goal down to beat Golden Kick 3-2. In Akatsi, Akatsi All Stars picked up a slim win against Mighty Jets, beating them 1-0. Volta Rangers as well won 1-0 against Uncle T United.

At the Akyem Old Tafo Park, Liberty Professionals won 1-0 against Susubiribi. Teye Mensah’s 26th minute strike earned Rences a 1-0 win against Koforidua Semper. On Sunday, Tema Youth will play Vision at the Tema Sports Stadium, while Na God FC play Nania at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.
