The second round of the 2022/23 Division One League kicked off over the weekend, with games taking place across the various match venues.
In Zone One A, Steadfast won 2-0 at home to Debibi United. It rained goals at the Malik Jabir Stadium as Eleven Wonders and Maana FC drew 3-3. Kassena Nankana defeated Wa Suntaa 1-0 and Wa Yassin won 2-0 against Kumbung Binbiem.
In Zone One B, Bofoakwa Tano came from a goal down to beat B.A United 2-1. Mighty Royals and Baffour Academy played a 0-0 draw. At the Golden City Park, Berekum Arsenal defeated Young Apostles 2-0. On Monday, Unity FC will play Nkoranza Warriors.
In Zone Two, Skyy scored in the second half to pick up a point against Ebusua Dwarfs, 1-1. Second placed Nations FC and Swedru All Blacks as well drew 1-1. Nzema Kotoko defeated Elmina Sharks 2-0 and Pacific Heroes drew 2-2 with Asekem.
At the Len Clay Stadium, New Edubiase recorded another home win with a 3-1 victory against Holy Stars. WAFA and Future Stars played 1-1. Asokwa Deportivo were ruthless against Sefwi All Stars, beating them 3-0. At the Asasan Park, Soccer Intellectuals and Kenpong drew 1-1.
In Zone Three, Heart of Lions came from a goal down to beat Nania 2-1. A first half goal earned Attram De Visser Academy a 1-0 win against A5 Rences. Liberty Professionals were held in Dansoman by Golden Kicks, 0-0. Emmanuel Essel’s first half goal saw Vision beat Mighty Jets 1-0.
In the Volta derby, Akatsi All Stars and Volta Rangers played a 2-2 draw. Johnson Amuzu’s 5th minute goal earned Susubiribi a 1-0 win against Krystal Palace Academy and Koforidua Semper drew 0-0 against Uncle T. On Monday, Na God will play Tema Youth in Tema.
