Posted by The Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) has announced the nominees for the Best Player, Best Coach, Best Referee and Best Assistant Referee for the month of February, 2023.
The nominees for the player of the month include; Noah Adzalekor of Gye Nyame FC, Solomon Kojo Antwi of Dansoman Wise XI and Samuel Pato Kobby of Estate United.
All three players in the month under review played 3 games and won 3 man of the match awards. In addition, Solomon Kojo Antwi scored 6 goals, Noah Adzalekor scored a goal, while Samuel Pato Kobby failed to register a goal.
Accra Athletic’s Tony Lokko, Abubakar Shaibu of Union Sportive Avranches and Daniel Awuni of Estate United were selected for the manager of the month award.
Tonny Lokko and Abubakar Shaibu led their respective teams in 5 games, won 4 and drew 1. Daniel Awuni as well led his team in 5 games, won 4 and lost 1.
For the Best Referee of the month, Jerry Adablah, Festus Bewu and Gideon Appiah Essel were selected.
Emmanuel Ayew Adjei, Christopher Deffor and Evans Dadzie were selected for the Best Assistant Referee of the month.
The award scheme was introduced by GARFA to enhance the beauty of the game by recognizing and awarding key roles in the GARFA Division Two League structure.
In the first edition, Emmanuel Osei of Accraen Verum Ipsum was named player of the month. Tony Lokko of Accra Athletic was named manager of the month and Lieutenant Cornelius Nettey was named Referee of the month,
The winners of the various award will be selected by a credible GARFA Technical team and will be announced on Thursday, March 16 at the Media Center of the Accra Sports Stadium.
